It has been one of those weeks, where Monday came and then the next thing ya know…it’s Friday! To say it has been a busy week, is an understatement. February is not supposed to be this busy, lol!
Yesterday was a madhouse in here (the office). Hectic. Stress. Tension. Busy. I had been wanting to get out of here early every day this week, to run some quick little errands, but none among the days even hinted as to such a grand opportunity. Then, miraculously, yesterday afternoon, it was like an instant calm of the storm. When I knew it was not just a mirage, lol, I bolted out of here and went and did my errands! Got home at about half past seven, had a quick fish sandwich on an Ezekiel bun for supper, and then was finally able to put together the white chili I’ve been meaning to make for about three days now. Ah! Yes. It’s done. And smelled really really good…yay!
I have a little one coming over to stay the night – actually, the babysitting schedule only demands a few hours tomorrow afternoon, but since I am going to be away all day tomorrow, I decided just to take her along. Better yet, why not just start the fun (hopefully!) tonight, and then tomorrow when all the festivities are said and done, the little one can go back home. LOL hopefully all will go well.
It should…last evening the grocery cart was filling up pretty good with Teddy Grahams, Cheetoes, Pringles and even some vanilla ice cream. Does anyone else want to join the party? (I have tortilla chips and homemade salsa for me, and some rye crackers with a nutty spread…but I would be happy to share with you.) ;)
So, tomorrow, little one, my friend Missie, and I will be heading off for most of the day. Starting off with breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then on to Cableas where I am hoping to find some denim skirts and long sleeved blouses I saw in their clearance ad. Am looking for a sling shot too, lol.
After Cableas, it’s off to a few other shopping stops and then we’re hoping to visit a few state park areas in search of migratory ducks and birds. I am concerned though that they’re all gone already…as cold as it’s been, I can’t imagine anything sticking around for very long. (Anything with webbed feet or a beak, that is.)
Then after that, it’s back towards home but not without a quick stop into Costco and hopefully also the Borders bookstore. Then Taco Bell, and then home. Whew! I am tired already just thinking of everything, lol.
Hope all of you have enjoyed a pleasant Friday and that your weekend will be a blessed one. Take care and the Lord bless you! Much love and hugs from my computer to yours
